OMG.
It's been
eons since i've watched tv,
& just ytd i sat down to watch
NINJA WARRIOR.

Okay, but that's not the point.
There was this advertisement,
in a way i guess it can be called an ad,
or maybe a song, music video, whatever.

We Are The World 25 For Haiti.

We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart
So they’ll know that someone cares
so their cries for help
will not be in vain
We can’t let them suffer
no we cannot turn away
Right now they need a helping hand

I cried listening to it.
In a way, i felt for the people.
I know its old news, but still, not only in haiti, some other people around the world also need help in a lot of ways.

It reminded me of nhchoir too.
We sang this during some performance,
& when we practiced in the choir room,
although the chorus kept repeating,
& all of us were sick tired of singing it over & over again,
the lyrics really sank into my head.

I dont know if sometimes i look as if i dont care or i dont feel for others,
i really genuinely like to help people, & i really feel for the elderly, the children, the people in need of some love/care/concern in their life.

I took the long way home today, changing buses & all.
& i happened to sit behind this granny & this grandpapa(what do you call a male granny?!)
They dont know each other,
& randomly, they started talking to each other.

The granny talked about her children,
all being so busy they have no time for her, in short.
I dont know about other people,
but i think the elderly should be treated with utmost respect & should be showered with A LOT of love & care.
They are the ones that brought you up,
with soooo much hardship & everything.
Show them how much you actually care & love for them!
Thinking about it wont let them know.

I mean, look at their wrinkles, its as if they all have some sad story to tell its so heartbreaking!!
Okay bimbo statement there but i really find looking at them so heartwrenching i want to shower them with all my love!!!!

Some people put them in the old folks home, leaving them to fend for themselves.
I dont understand these people.
Financially unable to support the elderly's just an excuse.
Im sure that even if it means cutting down on their expenses, they would rather be with their children, their family, rather than going to the old folks home.

Just my two cents worth though.
I just got this very strong feeling when i see the elderly.
It feels almost inhumane to not care for one when you see them hobbling around with their walking stick, or in any form whereby they need help.
Im not trying to say tht they cannot do things themselves or take care of themselves.
Its just that they've suffered so much bringing you up, caring for you, why would people even bear to let them carry on suffering.

Okay, maybe i dont make sense anymore,
Just let me ramble on & on okay, for this post.

Not only the elderly,
for everybody that needs help,
help should be given to themmmmm.
In my opinion.
I dont mean helping till they are so dependent,
but rather, help those that are IN NEED.

Okay im started to lose what i started out with.
I hope you get me.
I really think the world needs a little bit more love.
